Sportsman Class Changes for the 2022 Race Season

  • If a vehicle is entered in Sportsman, the vehicle’s dial-in will be restricted to 7.50 and slower in any separate eliminator that the vehicle is entered.

General Rules

  • Alcohol consumption by participating drivers is strictly prohibited.
  • No burnouts in the pits or staging lanes.
  • The speed limit in the pit area is 10 mph.
  • No pyrotechnics (i.e., fireworks or the like) are allowed on the property.
  • Refer to NHRA Rulebook for additional rules.

Bracket Racing Rules:

  • If you stage your car, the race will be considered valid, and there will NOT be a re-run. (This includes accepting a dial-in that is incorrect on the dial-in board.)
  • Excessive braking at the finish line will result in a warning or disqualification depending on the severity of the action (i.e., tire smoke or loss of control). A track official will be responsible for this call.
  • A driver may not drive more than one (1) car in the same eliminator. A driver may drive the same car in separate eliminators.
  • Deep staging is NOT allowed.
  • There is no break rule. If you win a round and cannot return for the next round, you will receive points and/or money as if you had appeared in the next round.
  • Car numbers and Dial-Ins must be legible from the tower.
  • Pairing for a class will be determined using the card system; the first card goes to the tower lane.

Bye Runs

  • First-round bye runs will be given to the best reaction time in the last time trial session of each eliminator.
  • If there are no time trials given, the first-round bye run will be determined by a random tech card draw in the tower.
  • For Green Eliminators, the first-round bye run will be determined by a random tech card draw in the tower.
  • After the first round, bye runs will be determined by the best winning reaction time of the previous round.
  • All earned bye runs (including first-round bye runs that are awarded by best reaction time in the time trial session) will carry over to the next round of competition. If the bye run is determined by a random tech card draw, this bye run will NOT carry over.
